Office affairs are bound to happen. You just have to learn to not be creepy about them.
We spend most of our waking hours at work which means that we spend way more time with our coworkers than we do with anyone else. It's only natural that relationships develop. But is it possible to let those inter-office relationships develop into serious things without it ending up weird?
I don't think it's impossible, you just have to be practical and pragmatic about it. You might dream of finding the Jim to your Pam, but you have to be realistic about it. Let's not forget that before Jim and Pam started popping out babies, Jim moved to Connecticut to escape his feelings for Pam. There's a lot of potential for an office affair to go badly... whether it's complications with HR or a bad-break up that you can't get away from. So if you are going to pursue one, you better be prepared for the worst. Normally, I would advise you not to plan for a relationship to end badly and instead be optimistic about it, but in the case of an office affair-- I think it's wise to have an escape plan.
What do y'all think? Can office relationships work out or are they more trouble than they're worth?
