New Year’s is a time for cocktails!

Fizzy-Lifting-Drink-1024x635Regardless of your feelings on New Year's Eve attire or its potential to be wildly overrated, let's all get excited about one thing: cocktails! NYE is a time for imbibing and if you're going to drink, you might as well drink something delicious.

The ultimate Christmas Troll

holiday-hangover2-254x300The holidays are a time for merriment and booze, but the ultimate troll of Christmas seems to be that all that merriment and booze leads to feeling like your eyeballs are going to explode.

Need NYE plans? Fear not!

new-yearsIs that whole over-paying for an overly crowded open bar thing getting old? Are you sick of watching drunk 15-year-olds fall down in Times Square? Forget the booze, we need some of these.

pancakesSomeone recently sent me this e-card:            With that spirit in mind, here are some holiday pancakes that look like they'd get us all well on the way to the diabetes half of that equation.

TGIW!

We're going to celebrate like it's Friday even though it's Wednesday because this week Wednesday is like Friday. That sentence makes sense if you read it twice, I swear. But since it's Thanksgiving eve aka the biggest drinking night of the year aka the start of a four day weekend, we thought we'd celebrate with a delicious Fall cocktail courtesy of the ultimate hostess, Martha Stewart. It's pretty simple and if you like alcohol and are at all prepared for Thanksgiving, you should have the ingredients. You'll need: 3/4 cup of Apple Cider 1/3 cup of Bourbon 2 tbs of Lemon Juice A 2-inch piece of ginger, peeled. Through all of it in a cocktail shaker with some us and shake out all your holiday stress! Then pour it into a martini glass, garnish it with an apple slice (if you're feeling classy) and enjoy! Happy Holidays!
