Scientists and academics love to study sex. Maybe because it’s more exciting than amoebas and fossils. Whatever the reason, there are a ton of sex-related studies that come out every year. Luckily, you don’t have to read them all because the Daily Beast already did. So what did all these sex studies find? Apparently that December is the time most Americans like to have sex. Significantly more babies are conceived in December than in any other month… a full 9% of all conceptions occur during that month. But not all people are trying to get knocked up during the holidays… condom sales are twice as high in the week before Christmas as they are in the week after, meaning everyone must hope they’re getting lucky for Christmas.
Other interesting facts? 83% of Americans say that rainy days and nights are the best times for sex. The perfect temperature for sex is between 68 and 70 degrees. And Fridays and Saturdays are statistically your best opportunity for getting laid.
